Feeling lonely is a natural human experience. We have a fundamental need for connection and belonging. I personally hate the feeling of isolation, and it has led to a phobia of being alone, which is more common than one might think.

Tips for Overcoming Loneliness

The first step toward overcoming loneliness is to take a brief break from the chaos in your mind. Let's start with a moment of meditation.

Meditation for Beginners

Try a 10-minute guided meditation, which you can find on YouTube with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. This can help reduce stress and bring peace to your mind.

Increasing Energy Levels

Boosting your energy can also significantly impact your emotional state. Listening to rock music can help initially as it provides a burst of energy. However, as you find rock music less invigorating over time, switch to softer melodies or soothing songs that promote a positive mood.

Emotional Comfort through Music

Avoid songs that make you feel sad. Instead, opt for positive, uplifting tunes that resonate with you. This can greatly enhance your overall mood and bring about a sense of well-being.

Practicing Sudarshan Kriya Yoga

To significantly alleviate symptoms of depression and loneliness, I strongly recommend practicing Sudarshan Kriya yoga asanas and pranayama daily. Sudarshan Kriya yoga is a technique that leads to deep meditation with minimum effort. Through meditation, one can experience the profound presence of the Divine who loves them unconditionally.

Loneliness is a part of the human experience. Throughout history and throughout various stages of life, our relationships fluctuate. Think of a person's life as a series of cycles where we form bonds, maintain them, and sometimes let them dissolve.
