Not everyone notices or is bothered by cliques at work. While some individuals, like I, may become aware of such groups through their daily interactions, others may remain blissfully unaware.

I worked for a staffing agency that placed me on special project assignments. I assumed, as an Administrative Assistant, that I would be included in the same perks and recognitions as my peers. One day, all of the other administrative assistants received a large bouquet of flowers on their desks. I was left out, and the office personnel explained that because I didn't work directly for the company, I wasn't eligible for the gesture.

Despite my contributions and dedication to the project, the exclusion felt petty and demotivating. This experience taught me that workplace exclusivity can extend beyond social boundaries into professional roles, highlighting the need for a fair and inclusive work environment.
